Keyword Planner misinterpretation

Are any google keyword planner users here explain how exactly is true that if i research ‘TV repair’ and ‘Television repair’ you will see that they each have an estimated average monthly search volume of 600. This could be misinterpreted as a total of 1200 searches for the two keywords collectively, whereas in reality the 600 number refers to the volume of both of these variants combined.

What is true?

You know it's hard to say for sure where the truth is.

I think it's combined, I mean why for both expressions it will be exactly 600 and not 600 for one and 400 for the second for instance.

TV repair & Television repair are different keywords hence the volume against each one of them is their own independent volume. If it was the the combined volume, keyword planner would've shown just one of the two in the results and eliminated the other.

Those keywords were not on single results page, there were two instances i checked it each time. I'm wondering how could it be same number, probably they both are same.

I was having a hard time understanding how search terms that were generating results in the thousands have plummeted to less than a hundred. I personally find this frustrating, as their was value in seeing the broad match for me.

Nobody is repairing their tv anymore, you just buy a new one.

Keyword planner numbers aren't exact figures, they're close approximations. Ever wondered why all the numbers are nice round figures? Something that's 287 will get rounded up to 290. 293 will get rounded down to 290. Creates the illusion of numbers being the same.

Is it possible that the Keyword planner is showing round figure for the both?
One may be 575 other one may be 595 or any other figure near by 600 for that matter?

Depends on the country and its economy. For underdeveloped countries, for many buying TV itself is luxury.

It's tricky and I'm really not sure whether the keyword tools are accurate. I have checked on a separate keyword planner (KWfinder) and it appears they would be 600 each! Otherwise why would they show you such similar keywords?

I believe, what keyword tools generates on their respective results were some kind of estimations and not the exact numbers.
