my article directory script has 10000+ articles but only 300-350 got indexed yet. what method to use to get index all articles.
the article script does not have an .XML format file for sitemap. i just submit to google as mydomain.com/articlerss.php file. Is it worthy Or i should use any script to generate .xml file

What use a site map ......ouch.

Build it so it can be spidered. If it's not spiderable - slap up some static pages to cover the bad code. sitemap give me a break...........

.txt is fine. but i suggest to submit the site in social bookmarking sites, if you really want is to get indexed immediately. it is effective even if you not submit it to search engines.

the extension on a file is not relevant. All my sitemaps are .php, it is what is on the inside that matters. Make sure you have XML on the inside with the proper references to the version and schema that you are using.

The txt format of sitemaps is something for Yahoo and not used that much. You could be on the safe side by following the standard XML sitemap procedure and then all search engines will easily crawl all your web URLs.
