To answer your question, here is a bit of information regarding Toolbar PR copied from http://www.xenyo.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1123

Firstly 'Toolbar Pagerank' is the one that you see on your Google Toolbar, this is the one that online PR checkers refer to when giving your webpage a pagerank value.

This toolbar pagerank gets updated approx once every 3 months in what some call 'Pagerank Update'.

This is also the value that most use as a guide for trading domains, link sales and website purchases.


Now, the actual pagerank weight of your webpage gets updated by Google more frequently. The exact value at a certain time is unknown to the general public. So what you are seeing on the Toolbar Pagerank could be the pagerank of your webpage of 2 or 3 months old.


Some bad people have found that using a certain Black Hat method, its possible to trick the Google Toolbar to giving the pagerank of another webpage(usually high Pagerank one) by fooling the Google Spiders. So, seeing as the pagerank update is only once every few months, the bad people gets a Fake High pagerank, put a crappy site on the domain and sell off the site or links off the site.

Really nice tool, good work, the on page script doesn't seem to work though, just get a red X for the image, the too is pretty accurate though.

the toolbar on my laptop and the one on my desktop are never the same, so I dont know if I would trust the toolbar, in fact I like to use at least 2 different page rank sources too just to be sure, as I am not sure why different sites provide different stats
