New Google pagerank verification tool
Hi guys, just finished doing the coding work for a PR verification tool and wanted some feedback if poss.
You can find the tool at Pagerank tool
It also gives you data on Google, Yahoo and MSN backlinks and other bits and pieces.

What do you need this tool for? Do you mean that sometimes Google toolbar shows you false results?

Googles Toolbar is a few months old when it gets updated. During that time alot of things can happen.
A common way to cheat is to use a redirect which makes the Toolbar PR, the PR of the redirected destination.
Our tool checks the Google Caches URL to the submitted one and hence can check if the pagerank is fake.

Nice tool. I checked www.proxybunny.com with your tool. It is showing PR0 where as the toolbar PR is 5. On another board I saw someone selling links on this site. The PR seems to be fake.

Well... I just think that Xenyo wants some backlinks to his site. It's like a web award trick... The more links back he gets, the higher his traffic and his PR. Smooth!
@ Nirmal: www.proxybunny.com is not indexed by google. The tool cannot check it. Strange though... a PR 5! How do you explain the absence from Google's index?

TheBrain,
Hmm ... not sure why you think I just want a backlink from a new forum page with no backlinks in itself when surely the higher benefit is to let the community of webmasters on V7n know about my new tool?
Now, dont get me wrong - I am not all high almighty regarding getting free links ... I am all for getting more backlinks to my sites .. hence my signature and I suppose yours ... but in all seriousness ... that was definetely not the purpose of this post.

Domain Age: 5 years 7 months
...while the domain is 1,5 years old. i know it for sure, i first registered it in august/september last year...

Sorry Xenyo, I didn't mean to offend you or something like that! It's a nice tool, but not the first of the kind, as far as I know. Maybe you should point out the differences between your tool and others and the advantages of using yours? Just a thought. I am sure you have good intentions, now let us know about them too.

yeah, the domain age needs a bit of work ...seems its acting up a bit.
TheBrain,
None taken ... Basically, we did the tool primarily based on what we would like ourselves.... we were doing a bit of domain name and sites buying and seeling at the time and thought a PR evrification tool showing more data would be useful.
Since its there, we thought we make it live for others to use.

Works now. Just a tad off, but close enough really. I like this you did a nice job on the coding and it is interesting the differences you can find. Does it pull the PR results from all the data centers or just specific ones when it is looking at the sites actual PR?

Glad you guys like it.
Hostnetric,
It gets the PR from the toolbar PR datacentre then verifies that URL with the URL in Google's Cache...
If there are any improvements to the tool that you guys think will be helpful, feel free to post here and I'll see if I can add it. (I know theres a prob with the design , will redo it when I get round to it. )
