Optomizing for Google (3rd Month)

Hello,

I'm in my third month of trying to better my site's ranking...

" Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Nov 21, 2006 "

Please help to interpret message above. As you can see, any changes, improvements, made since last Nov 21, are not showing in google's index and won't until the crawl comes again. Is this right? Is this normal?

It's nearly a month ago when they indexed about 90 pages so far. I was not indexed at all last summer, so I've made some progress.

How long might the wait be if my site is relatively new to google? Could it be two or three months before my newly made modifications showup?

How does anyone optomize when one has to wait a period of time between changes? It would be nice to 'know in about a week'...not...we'll 'know in about a month' whether or not changes will affect anything!!

I can query a keyword, and find my site number 8 or number 46 for a different keyword. But when I compare the new title I obtimized on my page on the server, google is still showing the old title in the serps. Whether or not the new title may boost my ranking, I'm anxious to find out...or am I overly anxious?

I use google's webmaster tools daily to check. The only updating that's done regularly by google is my robots.txt file. I've been constantly adding to it as the google errors appear. Thanks for any replys ... Tommy

That " Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Nov 21, 2006 " doesn't mean that Google HAS TO index your pages. Check out your inbound links and try to get some more to "motivate" Google. But this is not a guarantee either.

Remeber, three months is nothing to Google. Optimizing your pages is one thing, but time is what it will take to gain Googles respect. Building backlinks, etc., again, all take time. Just be patient...it could take years.

21st of November is a bad shout, you should get more high PageRank backlinks and keep updating your website regularly.

Yes, you are right! maybe hosting a blog on the domain? That should help keep google interested...

Get some good back-links from places like Joeant, linkopedia, Octopedia, etc.
