URL keyword weight = 10T
Allright, to anyone starting a site, wondering how to get to the top for a specific search term, I have one word for you. Domain name keywords. Oh wait, that wasn't one word. It was three. Wutever. Read on, read on, read on!
For a while now I have been working at getting Bytech to the top of Google for "winnipeg web design" (no quotes). A feat I achieved before Florida... not quite the very top was achieved, but #2 on page 1. Good enough for us!
Florida came, and the guys in #1, and us from #2 (infact, a total of 7 top pre-florida results from page 1) disappeared.
Lately, we came back to page #1... this time result #3. Not bad. Where am I going with all this? The current #1 and #2 positions for the search term "winnipeg web design". They are parked domains, with no real content. The parked domain name you ask? winnipeg-web-design.com
I hope this takes care of any questioning of the keyword weight in the domain name.
