This year Yahoo changed design and now it looks like entertainmemt postal with bunch news, stock market, weather, updates...
Google homepage.... you know!
Will they change one day?
Maybe it will be the same?
What do you think?

I thought Yahoo had always had all the same info on the homepage as it does now, they just cleaned it up and presented it better.
By Comparrison the Google homepage has always been kept to the bare essentials (that's its strength), search engine first everything else second - the 'Personalised Home' option gives you more clutter but I can't see any radical changes being made to the homepage.

I think google will change - its logo only, perhaps I think the design is better kept like what it is now, and I think they realize it too. If they need a new image, they'll just need to change their logo.

No, there's nothing wrong with it. However, usually (as far as I know), companies want a new - 'fresher' - image of it. I think Google will maintain the site's design so perhaps the only thing they can do to get a fresher image (in the future) for their site is to change or spice up their logo.
But it doesn't mean the logo is wrong or anything

I think the minimalist / sparse approach to the Google homepage is deeply tied to its branding and web presence. The company logo and search are primary, and the page design makes it undeniable.
I hope they don't change their design, actually. At least with Google, I can head right where I need to go--cleanly and efficiently. With Yahoo, I find I am often hunting for things.

Yahoo's design was just kinda old.. they wanted to add more graphics and customize it more professionally... at least that's what I think.
I'm sure Google would never change its logos... it's been there for too long for it to change, and it's kinda pointless. I mean, Yahoo changed its design to make it more user-friendly I'd say.

Never. The reason people go to google is because of its simplistic nature. They will never change it.

Hi there,
I hope they go back to their old logo, it was so much more sophisticated than their current one;
Don't you think ... for all those that thought I was serious I was joking (obviously)! That logo was from December 1998, and they designed it in GIMP .
Regards,
Kieran Taylor.

Their design leads you to think that it is a search engine, even the most stupid people know how to use google but when they come to yahoo...
I don't believe that they will change the desgin, only logo changes are an option...

In my opinion the yahoo homepage is too cluttered. google's page it's much more effective - clean and simple. Plus they give the option to add extra stuff with the personalized page.

the simplicity of google homepage is very good, so i think it will not change, what matter is the results it gives or the information it relays

That's only because google is a search engine while yahoo is a directory and a social portal. Yahoo doesn't need a simpler page. They target other audiences.
Who said Google needs a new logo? Google has a pretty crazy logo strategy already. They do change it for each important event, sometimes twice a month! At times daily! That's all the change I need when it comes to Google!
