Can't get listed in google (been trying for 7 months)
Okay... I'm very frusterated right now becuase I can't seem to get my site listed on google for the life of me. my web address is buildsize.com.
I offer weight gain information to thin people and therefore I need to be seen when people type in the most popular search terms (wich are GAIN WEIGHT and BUILD MUSCLE). I've enen done a lot of research on how to get a high ranking but I don't rank AT ALL. My meta tags are opimized according to seomasters.com/meta-tag-analyzer/
and I've optimized other parts of my page as well (keyword density, using H1 tags, getting inbound links to my site etc)
I just can't figure out why I won't list for my most important search terms..
ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to be able to pay a SEO company to do this for me but they are all so expensive. If anyone knows of an affordable company please send me a link.
thanks alot
p.s. - I should have told you before that my website is listed in googles directory but the only search terms I can find my web site with are "build size" I need to be able to use "gain weight", "how to gain weight", "how to build muscle" etc.
Thanks again.

I found 3 links to your website:
http://www.google.be/search?sourceid...Ecom+buildsize
Didn't find a robots.txt
If I click on a url it redirects me to the url without the www, maybe that has something to do with it
greetz,
Bart

Hi webguy, and welcome to the forums.
Links to your site are a good starter.
In the meantime, try this:
http://www.google.com/addurl.html

Try to get some backlinks with high PR. E.g. npgb.org or netscape.com

Google Listing
How far did you check in the Google ranking for your strongest least popular keyword phrase? There are no tricks to ranking, it just takes time with prioritized backlink work.

I hope that you will be ready to start a link building campaign as everybody these days knows that Google is all about niche relevant inbound links from quality websites that have unique fresh content. In the same time, not all SEO firms are expensive, you have been working maybe with the wrong people or looking in the wrong places.

How old is your site? Google can't index your site 'coz it's down... Not an active link...
That's why...

WebGuy,
You're in a competitive industry...it's going to take a lot of work to rank for any keywords related to your topic. Be patient, and build relevant links to your site.

It looks like you are ranking for the key words that are on your site. If you want to rank for "GAIN WEIGHT" and "BUILD MUSCLE" then you need some contexual links with those words as your anchor text. Try some good directory listings with that as your anchor text or try the v7n contexual links program. Also start a fitness/body building blog, write articles in it and use those terms as your anchor text natural in the content pointing back to your web site. Also read this article, it should help: How to market your web site

I see a grey bar for npgb.org. Penalized?

You can always submit a google friendly sitemap, they have a sitemap generator on the webmaster tools.
I submitted a site there and it was indexed in only a few days and now almost all the pages have been indexed.
I think you may be aiming a little high if you want to see your site listed in a google search for the specific keywords. There are a lot of big players in the weight loss industry.
Good luck!

Doing some good works on your site doesn't mean that your site will be the first to index. Take your time lol. We are in the industry that a lot of competitor.
