Pr update happens all the time, you just don't see it.... and speaking of pr is it really that important to think about next update?!?

There are so many threads about the speculation of PR update. Most of the SEO gurus confirmed that PR update would be around last week of Jan-2007. Wish You a Happy New Year

Should be a fun week.... the PR update buzz is definately on every forum with this topic.
Tyler, be cautious about plugging your URL when it doesn't apply to the thread. Mods tend to not like that stuff.

I am also hoping for an increase, last update was in July from what I understand and I only had like 2 links then, now I have thousands.

Why do you all care so much about PR? What good is that going to do to your sites? Does a higher PR mean better ROI? Just wondering.

I read somewhere (sorry, don't have a link) that PR tells the Googlebot how often to crawl a webpage.

Perhaps more links = higher pr = more chances of spidering?

Google ranks web sites according to the number and quality of the websites linking into a site. This determines where you rank in Google searches for certain keywords.

What? Really? Where have you read that? OK... no link... but was it on a SEO site, a forum, a blog or where?
I used to have PR0 and the Googlebot was still crawling my web pages on regular basis. This cannot be true!

PR is one factor to help you rank well and it's a scalle to judge your work and is good or what is bad with your seo.
especially for newbie or new website.
