Question about Google Analytics

Does anyone know how much detail about site traffic Google Analytics gives you?

For example, how does it compare with Awstats?

Also, does it give you anything similar to a real-time log, like "Latest Visitors"?

Analytics is bad (IMO) if you need to view clicks on external links. But beyond that, it is great. I have more ore less switched ti craztegg though since that is (IMO) better for testing changes.

yup... analytics doesn;'t provide latest result of traffic... i think aw stats can do that... i use analytics and aw stats for my site... unfortunately, give me irrelevant results...

Good question. I previously used google analytics, but removed it completely from my site as, per a google customer support rep: "it only tracks those visitors that have cookies enabled"

So, instead, IMHO, a much more accurate picture of your site's traffic can be viewed through a Webalizer. Check it out!
