Ok, from the perspective of of SE's...blogging can be a very good thing.

Fresh content keep the bots coming and well Yahoo and MSN do favor content related SEO, whereas in case of Google, back linking is King

But Quality Blogging can be the easiest way to maintaining returning traffic and in the end thats what google and anyother SE does, give free traffic..

Quality Blogging****highly recommended and if it a nice blog, its even better

ohh yea bloggin can help big time, become an expert in your field, and learn every aspect of a certain niche, and then blog about it always make sure you put this blog on your domain that your wanting to build traffic to of course.

When you post pages thats a new page on your blog, and what this does is builds more pages in Google, and the more pages you have indexed the more of a chance your liable to pop up the search engines, and this can create natural links if you blog about interesting great stuff.

Blogs are very good for traffic building, put on on there, and try to make about 8 posts a day if you can, and if your really good make 20 at 500 words a piece, and do this for 6 months straight everyday, and watch your traffic take off

remember though there is so many other factors in this.

yes blogging can have a very good effect on the search engines, I try to make 10 posts a day if possible, but yes this is very effective, just make sure you write good posts, and don't get lazy like i do every once and awhile heheheeh

but yea more pages indexed in google, a chance of gaining more backlinks.
