Links that are detected as paid may be subject to devaluation.

really , SE's really take the fact that some links are paid as a negative factor?

well theres no way to make that undectable then..if they humanly know that you charge for ur directory then they can devaluate it.
and if they dont check manually(human) then its impossible to verify whether its paid or not paid

Yes.

It is very easy to make them undetectable. Just do not mark them as paid.

I could link to 20 sites in this very post, and nobody other than me and the link buyer would know that they were paid.

They could, but they don't. They do not know which sites are paid for, and which are added by editors. Matt Cutts has in fact recommended a paid directory or two. Directories are fine as long as they maintain editorial integrity.

I do not think this kind of services should be considered spamming! Google should understand the difference between link spamming and advertising!

They want us to spend all our money to Adwords.

that thought actually makes sense, i can see where they see it as less credited link directory's, but thats natural and will always evolve whenever the internet evolves...
google should recognize the leaders and respect them

well the good thing of Yahoo directory is even if google doesnt like it, Yahoo does

John.. you posted.

"Matt, we were just kidding. We would never sell contextual links. That would be wrong."

Nomenclature is confusing your service. Instead of "contextual links sales" a more Google acceptible wording would be "link embedded website review", where the review would be unbiased from your third party service. The end result.. a contextual link.

Don't cave in John, He compared two entirely diferent cases. The first, from a "unethical con artist SEO", and then mentioned your V7N contextual link service.

You mentiones record sales.. congratualtions on your success!
