Go to 'Edit', 'Find (on this page)' and search "RC".

I think that answers the question!

I'm afraid I'm on a poor connection at the moment so it would be a labour to check the site highlighted.

However, if I may make a point - a lot of times people ask why their competition is doing to rank well, and are quick to complain when these competitors are perceived to be using some form of advantage.

If I may say, though, perhaps the emphasis instead should always be "how can I improve the rankings of my site?".

All too often webmasters have extremely poor backlinks to their own sites, yet are suprised that this hinders their ranking.

If you see someone beating you in the SERPs, the simplest explanation is commonly that they have better backlinks - therefore, if you wish to compete with them, you need more links.

So, go out and get yourself some.

Free (and spiderable!) directories are a good place to start - on-topic link exchanges are another free option.

And, of course, ensure that these backlinks contain the very keyword phrases that you intend to compete for - you can often stipulate your link title when submitting to another site for a backlink.

2c.

Major hidden text at the beginning. Hilight the blue at the top. I thought Google was wise to that?

It's pretty amateur hidden text, though. And if you click through, it's merely affiliate links to ISPs. Nothing to do with RC cars.

I've sent a spam report to here - if nothing else, so we can publically see if Google acts on them:
http://www.google.com/contact/spamreport.html

Search term:
Petrol rc cars
Seatrch link:

I'd be interested in knowing the response time of google's quality assurance teams.

Someone asked in an earlier post what spam is (whatever that is Well that is mostly definitly spam according to Google. You have load of text the same color as your background color in your footer. Consider youself lucky you haven't been banned.

Chill, Ron - it's not his site.

Also - edited earlier post - was a bit tired and typed "Nothing to do with ISPs" instead of "Nothing to do with RC cars".

You're right that it does look like really amateur hidden text--that's why I wonder how it's scoring so highly. Surely google bot could recognize that as abuse.

So your not supposed to have any hidden text in order to comply to googles rules?

I guess this means only text that is visable on your actual pages can be indexed and that hopefully this way you only get results pointing to the actual site and not some other site that someone has put a bunch of hidden text into?

I see dumb people, and dumb webmasters get away with spammy murder all the time. Sometimes in the top 10 of millions of results.

There are some really clever ways to disguise text using css and div tags, layers etc.

No I don't think Google usually even picks up on this. It appears that a lot websites kill it in the SERPS with hidden text until a competitor lets the webmaster@google.com know about the spam.

Then they get the hammer.
