Where's Googlebot?
When's the last he GB has visited your site? It hasn't been around in about 3 weeks, which is weird because that usually doesn't happen to me. I've got about 80 new pages for him to eat up.

Are you updating the pages regularly? That is, does the content change often?

He hits my sites 4-5 times a day at differant times. I think tghe most he's been gone is like 6 hours. It's common to look at who is on the *shop
* and see the Gbot's IPs moving around..

Yes, the googlebots come daily. Your problem is very strange. What are your headers? I use these, although not sure if it really matter (last modified minute ago, expires in 24 hours).
<?
header ("Last-Modified: " . gmdate("D, d M Y H:i:s", time()-60) . " GMT");
header ("Expires: " . gmdate("D, d M Y H:i:s", time()+86400) . " GMT");
?>

I always see him on my forum. I dont log ip visitors to my main site. Sometimes I see like 5 google bots on my forum. They must get confused.
They like site's with google ad's. And if google bots visit site's daily, why dont they update the search engine daily or hourly.

He? I've always considered Google Bot to be a female because it is inconsistent, tempermental, illogical and wants something for nothing.

I don’t think he is asking when google bot visits but rather when the new pages are added.
Google bot is slower to added my new pages in the last few months.

Ron, if you're talking about your static site then I would expect it probably due within the next week. However, you're site is new, yes? In which case I wouldn't be surprised if the indexing has been knocked a little by the recent updates. As with most things Google, patience is a great attribute.
(Btw - that is presuming you haven't blocked it off with bad meta-tags and a robots text! Sorry - I'm currently out on a PC I can't check page source code on, though it's probably unlikely you've done either.)

Yeah, it's pretty new but damn I got it indexed in Google within a week. Patience is excellent advice. I'm just anxious

Heh, I'm in the same boat - Google came in and indexed everything when my titles were screwed - guess who missed off his </title> tag being over-zealous with the global editor?

I put my new site up last Friday, and just made it in time for the new google update as the site is in google now and since Saturday I have gotten 50 visits from google, and a few from other SEs.
Lucky me

Yes, but you won't have PR showing.
SERPs is fine - it's PR and backlinks we want to see properly updated.

Wasn't the topic on who's been visited by google? Not who's got PR update?
BTW - my other sites PR went up a week or two ago when that update took place..

Topics change.
This thread is now about whether the Googlebot should be viewed as male or female... (or is that a different thread?)
