i still dont get pr
i have read all the posts and tons of articles, built up my site some, and i still dont understand page rank. I figured i should have a page rank of 1 or 2 by now, but i dont can anyone help me understand.
Also, on ehting is that i havent submitted my site to any directories, could this be the reason, and if so how do i go about submitting to them, like where do i start. Also do these directories allow adult sites to be submitted?

How old is your site? It can take many months for PageRank to show for the first time on a new site.
That doesn't mean your site doesn't have PageRank. It's just not showing.
For instance, Danny Sullivan's new site, SearchEngineLand, is not showing any PageRank. Yahoo, however, reports 144 thousand links for the site. You can bet it actually has PageRank

give it some time, and start writing articles, and building links its time consuming process, or hire a link builder to build links if you don't have time.

I just started my blog and I have a pr 0. Don't worry about PR, just worry about ranking well by getting backlinks.

Is the site that your saying is the one on your sig? I saw one of them and I don't know if it can be accepted on directories. Few directories have an adult category and the sites that were listed there are only adult toys etc. (most common). So I think the better way is to submit your site to adult directories. and find some forums that are adult related.

Adult sites... it is hard to submit them anywhere, you have to pay other adult sites to get nice pr links.

First it takes a bit of time (a couple of months) for your site to age. Then you will require backlinks of higher PR (preferably at least 2+).

Get more quality backlinks. So that your site will increase its PR on the next google update. Actually you don't need to worry about your PR. You have to concentrate on your keyword rank on search engine.

It takes some time to get a ranking. Other factors are your competition and the amount of work you've put in. Just keep on working SEO tactics of yours and keep track of your and your competitors' keywords.
Very few directories accept adult sites. You'll have to read the TOA of the directories to make sure you can submit it to them.

Worry less about PR and more about how you are doing on the SERPs for your keyphrases.
MSN rewards you most for your onsite SEO and Google loves links(keyworded to a range of pages and variations in the keyword link text)
I noticed on your signature link you have a url rather then a keyword link. Start there!

PageRank - Google's trademark for their proprietary measure of link popularity for web pages. Google offers a PR viewer on their Toolbar.
PR is just a Google gimmick. It means nothing. Too many webmasters and site owners get caught up in the PR "buzz" and lose focus on what is really important about their websites. Quality and usability. Focus on that and things like "PR" will follow.

Page rank is important in term of getting more attention from spiders. If you do not believe the statement, you can create a forum, boost the page rank to 5, create additional modules to seperate guests from spiders and you will be shock with the result. Almost 15% of guests is search engine spider. Spiders love links and high page rank = a lot of backlinks
Anyway, page rank does not mean anything in term of web traffic.

Pr will be determined by your linkage.
Pr will not currently assist in raising your rank within the serps.

For one you need to look when your website started, or when you created I should say, and the last page rank was last month so we don't plan on seeing on for another 6-12 months, but who knows with google.
Also make sure you get listed on high end directories before the next page rank so that you will get a pr boost.
