Small page size and Google?

I recently recoded my site from HTML to XHTML and CSS. Google recently updated my home page and as a result of the tidier coding, the page is now only 4k in size.

This page has 4 paragraphs of text and some bullet points so its not a case of having no content.

I was wondering, would Google ever consider a page file too small??

I do not think they will consider the file as too small.

Filesize is important factor within rankings. I don't talk about code size, I talk about content size. Be sure that more content along less code will help your rankings.

i think google will not look the page size .

IMO.. as long the the text not more than 100k of text size.. its ok.
i havent seen of small limit.

even a page with 2-3 line will get crawl as well.

I think you are absolutely rigth. The "visible text / code" ratio is supposed to be a stressed part of the on site factors.

No you should be okay, but keep in mind typically larger website with more content get more visits because there is more pages indexed on google, and possibly the better effect of gaining links naturalized, thats why a lot of people use blogs, and exedra for seo, and promotion.

You should be fine, just build links, and etc.
