Your take on Yahoo's new SE?

I thought I'd start a thread on what you guy’s think of Yahoo's new SE and how it will affect SEO efforts? I know webmasters are now going to have to shift there weight a little bit now that Yahoo is vying for a level playing ground.

I love it.

Yahoo wants to be my best friend, but Google has been asking for forgiviness, and even MSN has been sending me roses.

I have been impressed with the quality of the index so far. Further research is required and things will have to change slightly to keep up with the 'new' Yahoo.

Google's been a bitch to me lately. Worked on some sites/pages for some specific keywords, Florida wiped a dozen of decent top 3's for me. Austin brought me a dozen other decent top 3's. Yorkshire (offical name, or just I, Brian's?) wiped me altogether.

Now Yahoo has me up for a whole bunch of top 5's. My traffic has jumped a lot since they made the switch. I could use moving up a few spots, but given the unexpected results, I'm very happy. Just wish people would go back to using Yahoo a lot more now.

I'm back up to pre-Florida on Google and now on Yahoo I'm up higher than when they were showing Google search. My traffic has doubled since as early as this last Monday.

How can I get into it? Im in google, but dont appear in yahoo. How can i get inktomi to crawl my site?

"Yorkshire" was more the result of if Google was going to apply an expert system across all of the SERPs - but it seems like Google has kiked back from that. Which is nice.

Results on www.yahoo.co.uk are the same as results on www.google.co.uk.... however results on www.yahoo.com are very different to results on www.google.com... wierd!

I'm seeing something really strange when I look for my site on Yahoo.... when I search using the keywords "drew barrymore" my site is often listed as #2, but every once in a while when I refresh, it will appear as #1. When I refresh again, it jumps back to #2. Does this mean it's in the process of changing? It's always been at #2 on Yahoo, so it would be nice if it was moving up.

I'm not sure how Yahoo works as far as updates...

No im not, my site doesnt appear in that list, just other sites linking to my site. On google, a search for gameplayzone brings my site up first. Ot doesnt appear anywhere on yahoo now.
How do i get into inktomi? How can i get them to crawl my site?

cardesign...there is no need to post such a large image. Just post the URL to it instead.

Also John, looks like there is a scrolling problem...not sure if you are aware of that.

Always happens with big images on forums - especially when designers forget to resize images for easier viewing.

i love it. I've always done reasonably well on ink and msn. So now that yahoo is using ink results it is great for me:
