How the heck did my site end up on Matt Cutts blog?

When viewing my site stats, I came across this (last post)

Now, I am pretty certain that it was someone here or on dp that posted this. By the way, thanks for the 'not-organic' anchor text for my site. [insert sarcasm].

This is the kind of stuff I don't understand. Did you tick someone off? Why would someone pose as your website?

I have no idea, but I don't think I did. I may have posted something to the effect that directory submissions have helped my site. But, that is it.
I have never been rude to anyone on any forum.

Well I'm sorry I can't help you. I think it is awful for anyone to pose as someone else. I can't imagine it would be anyone from here though.

I never even thought of that, do you actually think the post looks like it was written by me? If I wrote it, I wouldn't have used the anchor text 'not-organic'. Do you think I should respond/comment or leave it alone. The reason I thought it *may* have come from this forum is due to this thread:

Yes, the author made it look like it came from you. If you put your cursor over his name Not Organic, the link is to your website. This makes it look like you are the poster of that blog comment. If you don't want that comment to represent you, then I would do something about it.

And I of course can't vouch for every member here but the majority is so helpful which is why it would surprise me.

When I looked it was like the very last comment. The poster's name is Not Organic I believe.

Are you referring to the mention in the blog post or the thread? In the blog post, it is the post about my site www.seethisitem.com.

In the thread mentioned above, reciprocal linking i.e. non-organic links were discussed. I mentioned that directory submissions and reciprocal links have helped my pr and serps. I was told I was the exception and that basically most sites with 'non-organic' links were adversly affected and this same blog was linked in the thread. Like I said, just a hunch and nothing more.
