Cached Snapshot?

how come when i am at my home page and i do a cached snapshot i get all red x's appearing, is it just on my end? is this why my rank dropped becasue it cant read the page? i ask this b/c i was on the first page of goolge for "350z forum" and now im not listed at all. i also have backlinks but they dont appear, one of them is a PR5 even

I wouldn't worry about it as your site looks ok now. You will notice that if you look back at what Google has in their snapshot that it may indeed be **different** from what is on there now. That is ok as it shows that GB is coming around.

ok thx Ron, just got worried and it was driving me crazy. i also saw the snapshot was an old one, so i guess i will wait

Yeah if your snapshot never changes then you may want to start worrying. Like with my site, GB didn't come around for like 3 damn weeks. I prayed to the GB gods and he/she listened. :wink:

Cache is often outdated, especially if you update your page every day. Don't worry about it too much, unless like Ron says, the cache doesn't update for a long long time... that is a sign that Google is not visiting your page to get the new info.

i check my stats and i see the google bot there a bunch of times daily. but my index page never gets updated? could it be because of the type of index page i have? like i also said i have some PR5 and they dont even show up, is this normal? i am just thinking i need to change something but not sure
