Authority Site Links
I'm well suprised that v7n diddn't get authority site links at the recent update, there are well less popular websites that have got them that are not as established either, UK SEO sites like BigMouthMedia and Just Search have got em, how the hell has v7n not?

Them little links you get under a domain name when you search for a company name or sometimes a search phrase in G i.e. if you type in BigmouthMedia into Google you will see there listing with some sub-page links underneath, I am suprised that V7N hasn't got them because it is well more of an authority and well more popular than some of the sites that have.

Well, when you search v7n the first page has only 3 non v7n pages on it, me thinks that compensates.

I reckon it does too, it is just V7N is a true authority site and quite a few less important sites got them.

I do remember reading somewhere that Google is only testing out that feature, and that they have stated that they have implemented that in only (relatively) few websites. This whole system is still in beta, like so many other Google projects.

Robert from Goguides told me that this is due to people searching for a particular term and for that particular term, it is an "authority site".
For example, search for "goguides" and "goguides.org" at Google, both terms result in that special links for GoGuides.
However, search for "Alive Directory" and "alivedirectory.com", you will see only for "Alive Directory", it seems to be an authority site. But for "alivedirectory.com", no authority site status.
It is mainly due to search results and how many people actually click on the site for those terms.

So these sites are considered by Google algo as being useful?
How does an mathetical algorithm consider something to be useful to a human?

I don't think that having sitelinks/snippets listed has too much to do with being an authority site, it's more about being the number one ranking by far for a certain search term.
I agree that V7N should get this though, is it perhaps because it uses multiple subdomains?
