All I know is I got a surge in my clicks then followed by a warning email but google cant tell me from where or which website is causing their inquiry.
Second question is: Which are the conflicting ads that google prohibit puting along with adsense. Should be something "contextual' right?

I was banned a few weeks ago too and am still waiting to here back regarding their "investigation". I haven't done anything illegal or against their TOS and I've been a publisher with a clean record since 2003.
As far as what you can't run w/their ads you should check the TOS as it recetnyl chagned and they allow more now.

Contact Google, and apologize, and if you did something wrong, just admit it, don't e-mail them and lye, be honest with them, and tell them it won't happen again, people have done it before, just like they have got there website unpenalized from google, but takes quite a effort, and motivation on your behalf, and depending on the circumstances of what you did.

I've never been banned......But, I hate to see webmasters assume that just because someone was banned that they were being dishonest somehow. I look forward to the day that you are in the same position. There was a study recently that showed that only 1/10 of 1% of all suspected click fraud was actually intentional. That means that the big G is screwing people out of hard earned cash on a whim.
If you are an honest person, then I hope that you are reinstated, if not, go somewhere else, from what I hear, you get better money from adbright.

I would disagree as I know countless people unfairly banned (due to traffic surges or other stuff) and have been reinstated.
I have some general advice in my AdSense Reinstatement Guide including sample appeal letters.

Better to get another ad network and don't repeat that mistake ever.

New Words and Phrases -
Googleazi - A New regime with the intent of taking over the world.
Googlerist - Almost like a terrorist but reeks of Starbucks and loves Star Wars, God of War II and long walks on the beach!
Googlearian - Smaller, balder versions of a Googleazi.
Googleancer - Not even radiation therapy will stop it's spread.
Googleetics - A new spacy religion where the group get's into a circle and chants adwords, adwords, all mighty adwords.
Googlepation - Same as constipation.
Googleectomy - What you do when you drop Google in your sites for Adbrite.
Googleostomy - A virtual internet bag that collects banned Adsense sites.
Do you have any more?
Mike

I got banned and I ran a clean and honest adsense campaign. I even gave a great response to their investigation. I was still denied. Google adsense is crap and you don't realize it until they ban you and treat you like your the criminal...we are giving them the sites to advertise on and we get treated poorly when they "feel" we have cheated them. I believe this is their way to reap the benefits without having to pay up to 100% of the webmaster that do them the favor. I have banned google services all together. I won't use them and I don't help spread the word for them. Unfortunately it would take masses of webmasters to band together to make even a small impact.

I don't think google ever read your apeal email.
Hack your brain, try to make the CEOs of Google beg you to put Adsense in your websites... nah not gonna happen

Oh I know the Google guys aren't coming to beg me to put their ads on my site pixens. It was just a thought I wanted to share, and out of it all I realized much more than I got banned. I was losing sales becuase people were going to my competitors sites through the links of adsense. I need shoppers, and not .04 cents a click. I found being banned a blessing and a wake up call. Since removing adsense, I have done so much better in my sales and haven't looked back.

always keep google as an alternative source of revenue and not your main.. google is unreliable they will not reason with you unless you are making 3-4K a month from adsense.

making 3-4k a month wont stop them from banning you. It happens often and some of you need to stop assuming that everyone banned did in fact deserve it. I've researched this topic heavily and have found (in my opinion) many have been unjustly banned. I have realized that having your revenue sites in the sig of forums which you can in fact become victim to people you may offend in passing, as well as people who maybe have some jealous bones and click fraud your site. There are more and more people coming into this market and of course many are bad seeds. Many fail horribly and cry the blues as they watch others succeed in ways they may dream of. A small percentage of people will in fact take out their frustrations in such a way unfortunately.
I wish the best to those who have depended on the almighty giant (google) for their main source of revenue but you need to take the advice given and find another source. And for those who have adsense accounts now you need to have a backup plan. It can happen anytime and it may not have anything to do with you.
I'd like to here of some possible contenders to choose from as a publishing source. Thus far I've been happy with google and yahoo, bidvertiser is just a waste of time (as I've seen) adbrite is ok but really not many good advertisers.
Other opinions that might help someone keep their ship afloat ?
