Anchor Text is Strong.. What's my problem?!

Okay here I am again whining about my Google failure... but this time something interesting is going on.

I come up #2

"throwing knives" (without the quotes) I'm not in the top 100.

Any ideas? This means it must be on page elements, right?

I have all my links leading to my home page. Perhaps that's the problem? I have anchor text as Throwing Knives leading to http://www.yourbestdeals.net - not the specific page. I thought that wouldn't really matter.. but maybe it does?

Please help guys, this is killing me.

My guess is that you guys will say I'm over doing the on page elements. What should I axe (the H1, I assume) and what should I keep?

be patient...google doesn't show any backlinks yet to www.yourbestdeals.net . keep on crackin, and you'll see a boost in traffic soon.

its strange though, because i definitely do have many pr5-pr6 links pointed at me (that have been crawled, and have been pointed at me for months).. i think it will update once my publsic pr shows a 4 or higher. just speculation though.

I would say that

Keep the H1 but change it...

Throwing and Knives should be seperated by something...
if needed by some invisible very small text

The same for text in the body... and the title...

Make sure that the keywords have a density of around 5% total.

Try to throw some more anchor text at the page.

Wait a while till google comes by again and a few days.

Just do it, nothing to loose.

We will get you top 5, no worries !

Yeah that's because when you search with the quotes it queries for that exact phrase so you would be higher because there are less pages.

Oh, I only mentioned the quotation marks for clarification because I hadn't checked for it in quotes--that comment had nothing to do with the SERPs.
