Easy way to find SERP
When I check my photo site to see how it's doing on Google I tend to type in my main keywords/phrases and see what page I come up on.
Is there an easier way to do this, like a site which you can type in your url and keywords and it gives you an actual Google position under those KWs?
That would save some time!

Their is no real tool that can tell you that, but if you work hard and do it steadily you will see yourself in the top 50 very fast in any term really!

If you don't mind running a tool on your desktop, you can use Rank Tracker.
http://www.link-assistant.com/rank-tracker/index.html
The tool is free although you have to give them your email to download it.
Its only downside is that it will only show your placement within the top 100 across Google, Yahoo and MSN. If you want to go deeper (100+) this tool won't do it.

I have tried a number of the tools for this. The link from SEO clown shows our site not in the top 50 for the 3 SE's it lists. I know my hand results show us #1 and #2 in MSN and Yahoo for this key word phrase and #38 in Google. I find this with all these tools. I just downloaded Comenius's suggestion about a week ago. It looks very nice and has a nice feature set but it has the same problem. It's results versus what I get by a hand search are totally different.
I know Google has a number of data centers. They seem to all have different results. Sometimes the results for my keywords are as much as 10 rankings! And all the tools I have tried seem to pull the worst rankings. When I search by hand I get much better results. Am I just hitting a good data center? Are the data centers region specific within the US? I am having a tough time getting reliable, repeatable results from any of these tools. Anyone have any useful info on this. I have seached these forums and not come up with much. I have done a number of Google and Yahoo searches on data centers for Google. They seem to be typical results. Not a lot of information and a lot of guessing. No one that I would consider very "authoritative" seems to be commenting on this.

Googlemon: Free Google SERP Monitor
You can use the free tool Googlemon. You can download it from this location.
It has a simple interface where you can put your important keywords and let it search for your SERP positions while you get busy with other things.

Don't try to find keywords, just build links and content and keywords will find you!

Um, I think you need to define the keywords you want to rank for, letting them find you is poor SEO!

Look in your log files. Ensure keyword tracking is switched on. This is valuable information, much more so than ranking position.
Keyword logs tell you the keywords people are actually clicking on to find you.

Not reliable. Rank Tracker from Rank Assistant is much more accurate.
