I think Yahoo relies on them more and other SE still use them, why would you bother to make a page and not optimize it to the fullest.
Even Google doesn't use meta descrip or meta keywords. I prefer to get my rankings through off page factors most of the time.

But they can be useful for CTR's if you are willing to take the time to write them. Not for SEO, but for grabbing the consumer's attention.

I'm going to create meta tags for www.invisionplasma.com and see how long it takes to do meta tags for every damn page. Pretty sure it'll be a tad more than two minutes.

Now I know that I have seen you preach about how webmasters should be making web pages that convert and not just to get SE listings. But here you are saying you are willing to - not take the time to make tags that can help to increase your CTR's to the page you spend so much time on making perfect in every other way.

I was sure I seen meta tags on v7inc.com, did you not make that site?

I do meta tags mostly only on the index pages, and sometimes on all pages, but not on 200 or 300 pages websites.

For some reason I don't think good links is much of a problem for you. But I know everyone can always use more

good point Tanya. There is no point in creating a site that is not optimized. Unless its for your own personal use.

Some of the most profitable sites on the Internet have never been touched by an SEO.

It is quite awesome. The best is watching action movies. A good surround sound system helps, too.
