I saw a really interesting piece of information this morning regarding Google.
Apparently they have changed the way that search results are presented.

Google Updates the Look of Its Search Results
The short story - It looks like Google is gearing up to present graphical ads and video ads at the top of the results.
To see an example search view this:
Google Search Results for Darth Vader
There are images at the top of the results - and imbedded in the page 1 search results is a graphic leading to a YouTube video with Darth Vader in it.
So what I'm wondering is this - since SO many large companies use Google to drive traffic (both organic and paid) - will this mean that ads will go video soon?
What will happen if images and graphics are at the top spot? Will the most graphically minded companies suddenly leap to the top of the rankings?
This could be the beginning of a whole new era in search marketing...
