I ranked number 1-4 for few terms in Google. and today I checked Its gone.
What is the reason the site is 2 months old and last cached on May 25
Although the terms didn't bring me significant traffic, I was happy that I ranked number #1 or #3 but now its gone. I did invest a lot in buying links
This matter really confused me sometimes. It does happen to my web directory (www.wsitehelps.info) as well. My keyword is "seo friendly web directory":
This happened probably: Your site is new and as Google re-indexes pages, they probably lost rankings for several phrases. This is nothing fatal, you will get your positions back in this case. Just wait few days or maybe weeks. Positions for my new internal pages do vary too. They jump up and down by hundreds until they get stable rankings - usually after 2-3 months.

If your site is really worth the top spot in Google, then you may just have to wait. The site will reappear again. It's just Google re-indexing the site on and off....
For excellent SERPS it really takes atleast 1yr of time. Since yours new wait! Make sure your site is suggest to DMOZ & Yahoo and if your site is both in DMOZ and Google directory & Yahoo, you will rank very well. It is difficult of course, worth all that effort.

Yes, domain age is one factor in SERPs the older the better.... Just wait for it then build quality links for Google.....
Well, for a simple reason.... the Internet is dynamic... contents are always changing everyday. Google will always update itself of which site provides more relevant and informative content, and thus will ranked higher....etc.

Yes that is common knowledge.............then a better definition would have been a daily shuffle and not a major shuffle.
Yes, one of my website gone again, 1 month up, 1 month down, 1 month up, etc.., years? the domain has around 2 years old, it is register untill 2012, backlinks around 300 or more....
