If you asked me to just explain it off-hand, simply by looking at the page and no other factor, I'd say that the page is too seo-ed. I'll explain:
First words in title bar: born shoes
First words in description: born shoes
First words in keywords tag: born shoes
Meta author: born shoes
<h1>: born shoes
But then in the next bit, all through the different styles, athletic, casual etc, it's Born, Born, Born in <strong>, Born, Born, Born in the URL links...
On to the main chunk of copy, it's 'Born shoes' in <strong> again as a header, then first word of the first paragraph is Born, and so on.
Put that way, I think it's a reasonable supposition that you've over emphasised the SEO. Change a header to read:
'Born Hand-stitched Leather Shoes'
or
'Give your feet the gift of Born Shoes'
or somesuch.
Change the title bar or description in the same way.
Born Shoes doesn't have to be the first phrase all the time, in other words.
You may also want to change the main chunk of copy so it doesn't repeat whole sentences all the time. You and I both know that copy wasn't put there for humans. I don't think that's the problem in itself, but it makes for a pretty poor user experience.
As I say, the answer could well be that you've over seo-ed for 'Born Shoes". It's an off-the-cuff assessment but I think it's the right one.
