Meta tags essential for new yahoo

my site http://wireless-phone-reviews.com always ranked pretty well in google, alltheweb, lycos and others. when the new yahoo rolled out, i was shocked to find that my site was indeed in the index, but didn't show up at all in the serps for my keywords. then it hit me. i never got around to adding meta tags to my pages. so i added meta tags, and a week later, my site is #2 for "wireless phone reviews".

so just because google might not use meta tags doesn't mean you don't need them

Interesting.

The answer is that you should always include well designed and well composed meta description and meta keywords on every web site.

Google is not the only search engine and other engines do use these tags. And other engines are liable to become more and more important. So complete the design job and use the tags.

If I remember right, having words in meta-tags that wre present in the main body was pretty basic Ink SEO.

As for ranking though - it could be that Yahoo finally caught up with your inbound links.

Yahoo is using tags pretty well. Test it out
