Google Rankings Diagnostics
I just came across this while checking some keywords with the Google rankings. It helps to identify what's wrong with our sites -- hopefully nothing is wrong with our sites, but either way, it's informative:

Wow that is some excellent reading, but it makes you think it is from Google itself. I wouldn't be surprised to see Google sue them for using their name.

If your website is banned, you can now request re-inclusion into the index. Its a newly added feature in Googles webmaster tools.

Lol - well now I feel silly! I've been using the GoogleRankings site for so long I even had myself convinced it was Google's site today - well dah! Anyhow, either way, I thought the link I found from the GoogleRankings site was a great resource of many tools in one. Whether or not Google thinks they're great or not will be their problem. None of my sites have been banned. I just thought it was a good resource for many things.

Why googlerankings.com does not recognize my Google API key?
Hmmm...not sure if I can trust this website, it does not seem to be accurate to me at all...it could be just me.
Thanks for the link, btw

Is it really informative? I am not sure it is. Banned, penalised, supplemental results... All these things are well-known for years.

I think the article did a very good job explaining things, especially about paid links. They said there are other means to advertise besides Google AdWords. This is implying that how can Google penalize you for buying links when Google is the biggest link seller in the world.

Those links (Google AdWords) are not used to determine PR for a site, nor do they have any impact on organic listings, so I'm not sure how you feel that this information is related to Google's stand concerning buying links for the purpose of manipulating the search results.

A bought link is what Google was (originally) complaining about and Google is the biggest link buyer/seller in the world. So it's OK for them to do it and no one else because someone else 'might" be doing it to get link juice. Who is to say who is doing it for link juice and who is doing it for traffic? Google? How convenient for them to be able to justify the stifling of their competition at a whim. If you advertise your company on a huge bill board on the free way are you doing it to get those people that drive by to drive directly to your store or are you doing it to build brand recognition and gain exposure. Doesn't building brand recognition and exposure build trust? Doesn't trust equate to link juice? To be listed in a prominent directory should help build trust into your site. Is that bad in Google's eyes? No, it does manipulate the rankings, but only in a equitable, free market, legitimate way. By the way the search engines are picking up some of my AdWords links, no one knows if they pas any link juice but they are visible.

Hi,
I've never had a problem with that site and I've used it for well over a year. As far as accuracy goes sometimes it's a bit off, but not that far. For example if the results show my site on page 7 of the Google results and I don't find my site there, it will generally be either on page 6 or page 8 of the results. I suppose that's because Google is constantly updating their index, and for some technical reason the GoogleRankings site may not be in real time. I dunno - but I do know it has been a great tool to find where I stand for a given keyword or key phrase. It certainly is not the only site with that tool, it just happens to be the one I've used.

Yes, you could always ask for something, but how soon you'll be indexed again. The question is, will Google remember for a while your site was banned?
Have a great day,
Peter
