Big Google SERP's changes
I'm seeing some big positive changes recently in Google's SERP's for my site for keywords we used to rank high for, then dropped, and now high again. Is anyone else seeing big changes?

If your serps fluctuate maybe it's the Google dance.

Google rank
I've also noticed some SERP improvements.
The only thing I can't understand, even if we call it a Google dancing, what is the reason for Google to do it. Is it just bug fixing or they do it on purpose?
Have a great day,
Peter

Google dance refers to the period of time when Google indexes are tuned. This will often cause both a fluctuation in index size as well a significant change in a web site's search result position.

This is the explanation from wikipedia, peterko.

Google Dances are usually minimal in change, however, I'm seeing significant changes. Hope things don't change the other way when they're finished.

Google dance is constantly changing and there is a fluctuation of index size as well as the significant changes in a website search result position.

I believe that it is Google dance too. My website SERPs always change every week. Google PR update predicted around July 21 - that's what I read from article (don't remember the URL though).

I read something about a predicted update in September... If it is really going to be this month, I must make haste with my website promotion campaign

I think current promotions (this month) will be reflected in next update (4-5m)

I agree with Sniper Higa.. Google is updating it's index that's why fluctuation in ranking happens every time....It's the period when Google is rebuilding its rankings, and results fluctuate widely for a 3 to 5 day period.

Thanks for the heads up, you know as well as everyone else, I wish Google will come clean with and when all updates will happen and what could change.
Very frustrating.
Cheers

Always wondering how it's possible to predicts something related to Google, especially when it comes to predictions. Does anyone release Google's insider information?
Have a great day,
Peter

That's all part of the "Google game", they don't tell webmasters specificly when because then everyone will try and game the system all at once thus screwing up their newly "perfected" algorithm.

No I haven't noticed any major change, my web site has been very consistent for the last month. No major move what so ever. So I don't think it's accross the board, just a routine isolated adjustment probably.
