Squidoo Dinged By Google

Squidoo are still indexed. Have their rankings dropped?

Come to think of it, I can't recall having seen many Squidoo pages in my searches. Ever.

I suspect Squidoo has probably always been "penalized" by virtue of the fact it never showed up much, especially when compared to Wikipedia.

They're rankings have dropped a little. But I think it depends on the page right? If there's a lot of leverage supporting a URL off of squidoo its probably going to stick on a SERP.

For the last several months a Squidoo page has been #1 in Google for " laptop bags " - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=laptop+bags

~ Just recently in the last few weeks it dropped down to #7 - but still on the first page for a very competitive search!

I wonder if that's why my traffic from my lens dropped like a brick. I used to get quite a bit of traffic, then it throttled down for no apparent reason....guess this could finally explain it. Grrr.

i am happy when hear this.
my competitor is heavily spamming the squidoo and craiglist.

once they are gone... its cheers from me
