Adwords: very rarely indeed, and even then it's out of professional interest, maybe to see if someone has done something a bit different on a landing page. But I'm conscious that it costs someone money so I try and respect that, hence it's very rarely. Once every couple of months or something.

I don't recall ever clicking on an adsense ad - I may have done but I don't believe so.

I click on them once in a while.

The problem with AdSense is, most of the ads aren't for things I'm interested in. But in the rare case where there is an ad I'm interested in, I have no qualms about clicking on them.

For the most part I don't click on AdWords, though. If I'm interested in something I just type the URL so the webmaster does have to pay for the click. Since my own AdWords account costs me some serious bank every month, I take pity on the advertsers and try not to contribute further toward the Larry and Sergei 767 fund.

So it seems that more click then not...even if it for "tipping" (clicking on an ad of interest of course). And the majority of clicks are selective or eye catching.

Oh, wow, I just realized I have been online WAY too much the past few days...

I saw the title of this thread, and suddenly realized that last night I actually had a dream where I accidentally clicked on one of my own ads, and was seriously worried that Google was going to find out and ban me.

Google features

I have nothing aganst AdSense, but never click on them. Don't even know why, probably they are not attractive to me.

I personally think Google love AdSense simply because they make some money on it. This is their product and they encorrage webmasters to use it. This is my opinion, but I could be wrong.

Have a great day,
Peter

Curious, do you really think Google might ban your site if you click your own Ads, or it's your fear? Can anyone else clarify it?

Have a great day,
Peter

How will you get banned clicking on "other website's ads"? We are not talking about your own.

Folks,

Google wants you to click on the ads. Google keeps a percentage of the advertisement cost for themselves, and gives a percentage of it to the ad publisher. How else do you think a search engine company has a stock price that's in the range of hundreds of dollars per share?

If the ads are (1.) Relevant and (2.) Well Placed, then I'll click on them because this is an organic part of my internet experience.

Now, the relevancy of the ads depends upon the publisher. The publisher must use proper .html coding techniques, and most importantly of all, a very relevant <title></title> and <meta description="" /> tag. This, in my mind, is how adsense knows which advertisements to display !!!
