1st for keyword only when alot of results?

Hi i was wondering why is it that my site ranks well when there is alot of results for a particular keyword but drops in rank when less results are found? Like yesterday there was 98.000.000 ish results for it and was no 1 now it's 5 th on 88.500.000 and probly (hope not) will go lower after there's less results. and a few weeks ago it was like on 4th page of results on 66.000.000.

Is this some type of supplemental effect ? Or do i have too many back links for a certain kw and being penalized?

Anyone else seen this effect or isit just google dance?

You can check your site if it has supplemental results...

check it by using the command:

site:mydomain.com *** -view

It will display your supplemental pages if it has... If not it will display error message not found...
