Webmaster Tools And External Links Query

Hi Folks,

Tried searching the forum but can't find any info to help me out.

Grateful for any help.

In Webmaster Tools under Links | External Links Google is showing 160 links pointing to my home page.

If I do a link:www.mysite.com (not sure if we are allowed to use our site url's as I am new here), the result is zero.

Google says it has no information for me yet the links are plainly listed in Webmaster Tools.

Some of the links are from EzineArticles, GlobeOfBlogs, FreeIQ so they are not all worthless.

If anybody has any ideas what this all about I would be eternally grateful.

Why don't you try link:mydomain.com at Yahoo.com

or not use Backllink Watch or Rankalert Backlink checker.

google "link:www.site.com" show not all backlink... only a sample..
i think google not yet show the sample result of your backlink...

Hey martin,

what is the URL of your site? maybe your site is new that's why Google shows zero results, and besides Google does not really show of all In bound links of a certain site...

maybe try to work it out and get more relevant links...
