The should increase the frequency of PR updates man...hurts people selling links a lot! People believe only in Google PR...

Back in 2005 it took 122 days for Google to update PR.

If one submits to countless web link directories, both paid and free, shouldn't some of them show up as backlinks? How long does it usually take for them to show up as backlinks?

Punished for paid links......
Google has announced they are looking poorly on buying links, does this mean that buying featured links and the like in directories, or buying regular links in directories will hurt your google pr and position now rather than help it?

Google updates their link: command infrequently and doesn't show most of the links. Use Yahoo SiteExplorer and it should give you a better idea of what links you actually have.

how are you checking your backlinks? if you sign up with Google's webmaster tools they'll show you a far different (and much more expansive) report on the backlinks to your site. they usually only show a smattering of the actual links when you check using the "usual" ways. I guess this is to throw off webmasters from being able to tell too much about other sites? maybe to keep people getting about the algo?

But whatever, the webmaster tools is very interesting. They give you some great info on where your site is showing up for searches as well.

I just for the very very first time....
got a PR Prediction on both my websites pc-factor and thegamerslink from iwebtools...I have been trying forever with no information ever available untill today. pc-factor is predicted pr 4 (3.5) with 81.3% accuracy and thegamerslink pr 3 with 87.9% accuracy, now, how dependable is that really and is it in time to hit the update that is going on now?
