AdSense Checks Can Bounce?

Here is some interesting testimony...

"So, today I go to cash the check. I’m standing at the teller window, and realize, gee - this is taking a long time. She looks up at me and says, "There aren’t sufficient funds in the account to cover your check." *stunned silence* I say, "Excuse me, could you repeat that?" She does."

This has never happenned to me (checks are too small ). Has this happened to you before? Just curious.

I bet the teller was talking about the person cashing the checks account - not Googles... if you dont have good credit with your bank they will not cash a check for more than the amount you have in your account - I really doubt Google's bank balance is overdrawn...

I think not... Google is one respected SE how can their checks bounce? What will happen to their reputation if somebody has bounce one... What do you think?

well, I guess this is not the first time it happens.
A few months ago there was a story that really generated a buzz, and bloggers like problogger and John Chow commented.

To really understand what happened, we'd need more details like (1) the country where this happened, (2) the exact moment this happened and (3) if the same thing happens everywhere else.

Still, this mysterious situation sounds mildly preoccupying for web publishers using Google AdSense to pay their rent.
