Google about to remove the PR score?

I don't know if anyone of you has heard the buzz on this topic already, but seems like Google asks users feedback on rather removing or not the PageRank Score. Is Google going to remove PageRank score from the TLBR?

It would make many feel weird...but there is a nice question for this "How would you feel without the PR pixels?"

Google PR toolbar

Didn't get it, are they planning to remove PageRank from toolbar or totally disregard PR as is? If there is no PR, what would be the substitude? And the silly quastion, how will webmasters then trade their links, hah?

Have a great day,
Peter

I think they are still gathering feedbacks from the webmasters.. The most they will do is to get rid oft the tool bar PR but never the PR algo

They can't loose PR. Indirectly Google's getting lot of attention because of this. Besides, Adam is talking about adding another feature to toolbar and might remove PR from toolbars.

Also, the whole Google Search algorithm depends on Pagerank, they will have to reset or introduce a newer feature for the search to work. And I don't think a thread at webmasterworld can change that .

They are not discussing to totally remove PR since they have claimed also that PR is Google's heart. What they are asking feedback is for removing the PR score to be published. There are talks about having the PR only in the webmaster center but so far nothing about that definitive.

Removing the published PR score would be a move long overdue. I very much doubt they'll be removing the PR algo.

However, knowing that Google values inbound links, people will still try and assign a score to pages by other means. They do it now, because the published PR is so vague and unreliable.

The world would be a nice place without PR . It's especially spammers' and poor SEO's nightmare that Google will forget about PR.

Get a proper job..... Make decent sites, not just PR whore's.

It's not google's job to keep you financially secure.
