WOW.. that really sucks. Really though - theres no way for google to know if your being paid to put the link on your site. And I wonder what will happen to text link ads.

if you have "sponsored" or "paid post" near an article with a link to another website with text links this would certainly be a flag fro them to have a look at.

Yea i could understand the paid post thing. I would just put Affiliates or "Our Friends" or something corny like that to avoid this.

Hmm so directory owners with link partners will get penalized or is this only a threat to blog owners?
I would say they would be going after non relevant links the site's theme/niche. But i can be 100% wrong.

That would really suck for a blog who has pr6 that drops to a 1.
