Hmmm, think so, but sometimes it can also affect the clicks in your site. But I don't give importance to my eCPM, the revenue is more important.

Integrating ads to match the site works very well. Also the content is important. This determines the ads that show. Some content causes poor ads to show, and other content shows higher paying ads. What these are takes time to fiqure out when abidding by Google's TOS. The preview tool is good for this (filtering MFA ads).

A Google adsense optimized site may have a site-wide CTR and the eCPM may vary a lot depending on topic / keywords. But the most important is to have a unique article that usually visit by the readers. If the reader click you article it is one clicks for you and you need to promote your blog to high pr site , blog submission , social media, link exchange and using of ping

If you want to keep your ecpm rate high, then you could try some of these..

1. Keep a lower number of adsense ad units on your site. Google pays the highest for the first ad unit only. After that it starts diminishing.

2. Build your site around highly paid keywords. The rates for keyword keep on changing and are decided upon the number of searches made for that particular keyword.

3. Try to get more traffic on your site. Higher the number of views, the ecpm also tends to improve..

This should hopefully help you..
