Google rankings constantly update, this change is more a recognition of backlinks. Ranks will probably change, but I haven't noticed anything more than normal.

That's a good question.

I suspect that Google has known about these additional links for some time and has probably already done any ranking adjustments that these links would dictate.

I think all we are seeing here is an update in the public reporting of the backlinks and PR calculation. I doubt it will change ranking as significantly.

But we will have to wait and see, to know for sure.

So on the one hand it's good that google as updated the backlinks and PR have gone up in most cases because of links with have made but this update may not move sites back up google which have recently slipped off from front page for certian keywords.

Oh well, I'll give it a month and then start panicking why the site is back on page one!

Google dance maybe a thing of the past however I have seen many sites loose ranking after the monthly backlink/pr update and this time round some keyword sub domain and url directory sites doing really well

I just updated my submission resource page to reflect the PR update. Google is doing a much better job this time in reflecting actual content. Some of the resources made out really well and others with little content lost PR. http://www.wowdirectory.com/resources/
