Fix what?? Thats something that webmasters should pay more attention to, Google correctly see's both url's as different sites. domain.com and www.domain.com dont nescisarrily have to resolve to the same site/content.

If you want to consolidate your PR you should 301 redirect yourdomain.com to www.yourdomain.com

Strange, I knew it did this, but I just went to see my blueuniverse.co.uk without the www out of interest to see what it was and it is the same, with the same amount of backlinks etc. and I don't recall installing any hack thing so they do so.

I've got a similar problem... and I think it's easily fixed for me... I just don't know how to do it. On my photography forum, sometimes I see the URL at the top show up as http://www.photographycorner.com, and sometimes I see it as http://www.photographycorner.com. www.photographycorner.com has a PR2, while http://photographycorner.com has a PR0 (brand new site... give me a break!). Also, when people are sent emails because someone has responded to their post, it shows up as http://PhotographyCorner.com/thread?topc#whatever instead of http://www.photographycorner.com/thread?topic#whatever... There must be an easy way to fix this, right?

forums fall victim to this alot, it is called split PR. Alot of forums are under domains and the main amount of traffic goes to the domain, yet the forum scripts link to index.php.

Example: http://www.LinkinParkForums.com and http://www.LinkinParkForums.com/index.php are considered different pages with PR. I modded my forum to prvent this be sending all the index.php links to just / that way almost all of my traffic goes to / not index.php

Sir ,
Though its true that Google conside www as a subdomain but its not true in all cases , for example one of our travel related site
showing the same PR =4 in both the cases http://www.tourstokerala.com and http://tourstokerala.com.
Your valuable suggestions are always welcome
