Google and Robots txt

Following on from a previous post - i have been to google webmaster tools again and it appears that Google are trying to access my site - the tools show that they tried and failed to access files over the past week.

I have added the new robot text as suggested (well my webman has) but google still can't get past the robots txt file - what can i do?

To add another question - if loads of other bots and spiders are still happily roaming but Google is suggesting that he can't get past my Robots txt - could this simply still be an issue with my robots txt?

I can't grasp why no other bots are having issues but Google is.

Any suggestions please?
