Google time outs?

Google webmaster tools - after not trawling my site for over a month - have now told me that i have a time out error.

It was telling me that certain pages were unreachable due to robots txt - this has been changed but now it says it's a time out error - how would this be caused?

Not sure if it is a url time out or a robots txt time out.

Your expertise is much appreciated.

Thank you!

anne

Are you on shared hosting, has your server been experiencing some down time? If no to all of these I would consider looking into improper DNS configurations.

I also encounter this a few days ago.. But now, its okay already.. I guess they are updating Google webmaster tools that's why we encounter minor problems..

Oh yes!!! This happened at ther same time google stopped visiting - a uk web host updated but didn't tell the DNS in the states - my site vanished, the host company or someone patched it - BUT these people deny that the google issue is anything to do with them.

Thank you!!!!
