Am I Dropped by Google?
After the pagerank updates recently, I went to check out my sites on google. Did a search for www.surebaby.com and it says:
"Sorry, no information is available for the URL www.surebaby.com"
Had a pagerank of 5 and *poof, I'm gone. My pages within SureBaby are coming up when I search, but not the main domain name. Are my pages going to be dropped in the near future as well or is this just a temporary change? I checked my other sites and they are all fine.
What could have happened?

Huh. Odd. I just did a whois and the DNS associated with that domain is showing something odd. PM me.

It is odd. There are 230 or so pages in the index from the site...
I didn't notice what John noticed on the lookup - other than that it's a Yahoo Domain (yuck). There looks to be a bit of nameserver confusion, too, but everything seems to be in order...
I dunno. Could be just the basic "Your site is in update mode" on Google right now, or something else altogether (possibly whatever it was that John spotted).
Good luck, though!

Thanks for your input, any idea how long that usually takes?

Not really because this last update is really freakin' weird. On one of my sites, I have more BACKLINKS listed than I have "Pages that Mention My Site" which is something I've never even considered to be a possibility...
Wish I could be more help, but Google's muckin' about again, so it's hard to say...

Damn same thing just happened to me over the weekend. All my sites all 12 of them were up'd to a PR5, the main site " itkillsrust.com" was up'd to a PR6 and now GREYLINE. it has just disappeared from the results. It has been #1 from the start for the term " Rust BUllet" and now it's gone. It's like it was never here. What did I do ?

Dave,
The only other sites I know of that were PR0-ed in this last PR update were buying links from people who were less than discreet in their link selling. Buying links from sites that sell them based on PR, or buying links from a joker who goes around in SEO forums saying that GoogleGuy is "full of sh*t", is not smart. You might as well write an email to Google saying "Hey, please drop my PR to zero when you get a chance."
I'm not stating this as fact. I don't know for sure why you got PR zero. But I do know that other sites that were buying links simple for the PR were dropped. I'd *guess* that might be it.

It's really acting up now.. now I have PR6 1/3 of the time then I have a Greyline. So I gues it's not totally gone ? Maybe I'm in the middle of an update. I still have back links. but the search results still have me in la-la land. I can use digipoints tools and it says I have a PR6, the tool that shows your future PR says I have a PR6, just the toolbar is flacking and my Search results are wa out of the loop.. Im puzzled.
*sigh*

If you still have your SE rankings, don't worry about the toolbar.

That's just it, I don't.. I have no SE ranks anymore, but the back links are still there. Just the toolbar goes in and out.. One thing I just relized.. The old ite stoprust.net use to have a 301 redirect pointed to itkillsrust.com for the last 4-5 months. They shared the same PR and link count for months. last month I created a new website on the stoprust.net and removed the 301, As of a coupld of days ago they each have their own link count again and PR ranks. SO maybe Google was counting it all from stoprust.net and just relized they are not linked anymore and is doing some updating for it.. I can only hope..

At least yours is fluctuating. I still have a PR 5 on the toolbar, but surebaby.com doesn't show up when you do a search on google, nada. Good luck, sounds temporary for you

As of today Google has removed all 405 backlinks to the itkillsrust.com domain. and it's a full time GREYBAR.. 6 months of work down the tubes.

Yup. You got a penalty. Might want to set up another domain. That one is trash. And, take it out of your sig before you get this forum's PR trashed.

I've changed my profile URLs *sigh* lest I have 5 other sites that are PR5/6 Guess I'll pick one of those.. Going to spend the rest of the night removeing itkillsrust out of all the links betwen sites and isolate it..
Wish I knew what the hell I did..

If Google notices you to be intentionally gaming search results they can issue you a PR0. They rarely notice from what I am told, but it really sucks when they do.
