Has anyone else noticed this?
Has anyone else noticed that adsense page impressions, clicks, page CTR and Page eCPM are up, but the earnings are down? Could this be the results of an influx of low paying advertisers?

I have not seen a big change in my earnings. I can agree with what you are saying though/ I think everyone is going to have to be more aware of whats going on with earnings, and see if the start to notice a decrease.
I know I will be paying more attention to mine, since you mentioned it!

I also noticed that the impressions are up, but the earnings are not going up in the same proportion.

I hope the earnings catch up with the clicks.

I may have found the problem. Adjustments with Google's "Smart Pricing" may be going on.
Quote:
How smart pricing works
We are constantly analyzing data across our network, and if our data shows that a click is less likely to turn into business results (e.g. online sale, registration, phone call, newsletter sign-up), we may reduce the price you pay for that click. You may notice a reduction in the cost of clicks from content sites.

Its same with me our earnings are down for last few weeks. I thought something was wrong with my adsense. But it could be for the reasons beyond that.

This isn't the first time I've seen people complain about this.. Yes, it must be hard to manage all of their adsense stuff.. but it ends up hurting the people that make up their adsense program. Without us their adsense doesn't exist.. so they need to keep things somewhat steady for all the people that help promote them.. or else they'll end up like me.. Frustrated and removing their ad. I love adsense, don't get me wrong, I just wanted/needed more control of my ad space! It's my bloody ad space! Besides, I think adsense is getting boring.. I see it on almost every site.. It's like people have been losing their creativity because they know they can put adsense on almost any page. So, it's no longer a race to see who can make the best site.. it's who can make the most crappy sites with adsense stuffed all over them.

It would seem that people probably make money on many invalid clicks. Having people click on them, not nessecarily clicking on their own ads.
I wouldnt be surprised if google is constantly trying to improve there stats and tracking techniques, which would mena a decrease in earnings.
Thats my thought...

If your CTR is good , then you will get high amount for a single click other than that the only reason left is that your site does not contains high paying keywords .. Try to introduce some high paying keywords in your site & you will feel the change soon !! Seems that your site is currently running low paying advertizers ads !!

Smart pricing hurting publishers
The problem with "smart pricing" is that Google doesn't provide any meaningful feedback about how it "smart prices" your web sites.
But that's not the worst part...
Did you know a single "low conversion" web site of yours could affect your whole account?
That's right, your newly launched (and probably less efficient) web site could badly hurt -all- your other AdSense financed web destinations.
And Google doesn't provide you with any metric to easily identify this situation (so you could apply the corrective measures).
Googe needs to get the publishers on-board with smart pricing by actually telling them which web sites are hurting all the others. Publishers would surely improve their web properties so that Google's AdSense code only shows on their best pages. To answer your question, yes the revenues are down even though the clicks are up — and that's for all keywords, including those that usually pay more.
Web publishers getting an average of around 5 cents per click should consider themselves blessed, in these "smart pricing" times ; )

I'm really disappointed with the revenue I'm earning in adsense. if this continues, I may be reaching my target amount by 2010 LOL!
