Thank you!!!
Well apparently, Google had made some changes and not told the host. And the host had also made some changes and not told the dns? And as a result my site was fluttering about in white space. Google was trying to access but the host company were blocking the ip - how jolly civilised of them all -
i will refrain from talking about the lost revenue or how much it cost me to have sorted out - my webman has been very very kind but still, it is a cost i can't afford. The main thing is, my .co.uk address is now back right where it should be and hopefully in a few days time the bot will com and visit all of my lovely new meta tags and i will be sailing right back up where i belong.
One good thing to come out of it though was meeting all the lovely, kind and helpful people on this forum ;-) I learned so much more than i expected to and had a good laugh along the way.
Downside is, if my sales rise again, i will be too busy to come and chat as much i have been doing
Only i can't get away from you all cause i am bombarded with emails each time someone posts in any thread that i posted in - wish i knew how to turn that off
thank you!!!
Anne
