Google Analytics Has Some New Features

Announced yesterday:

http://analytics.blogspot.com/2007/1...-emetrics.html

Quote:
First, you'll be able to use Google Analytics to track site search activity. Simply edit any of your Google Analytics profiles to enable "Site Search" and you can find out what people search for on your site and where these searches lead.

We'll begin a limited beta test of the new Google Analytics Event Tracking capability. These new reports are designed to help you understand how people use and interact with Ajax, Flash and multimedia on your site without artificially increasing your pageview metrics.

Outbound Link Tracking feature. This feature will report on links visitors clicked on your site that direct them to another site

I'm personally a huge fan of Analytics and Google Webmasters Tools. Analytics is possibly the one online tool I couldn't live without. For a start, it doesn't eat up my dedicated servers processes and the data is relatively "real time". I can't believe home many people haven't taken advantage of the Urchin tracking in Analytics. Maybe some people like the inflated stats they see in Awstats or Webalizer but GA is the real truest representation of statistics.

go see statcounter which is the real "real time" stat tool. I used both analytics and statcounter which I'm satisfied with the results they show.
