I need a tool that tells me when google scanns my site.
I want a tool that lets me know when google scanns my site.
will be good if it tells me about other spiders as well.
looked at a few options but was not impressed.

I use crawler-alert.

It is a free tool and I get EM notification on a large numbers
of search engine spiders. the url is:

If your site is php based and has a template, it would be really easy to place a useragent detect script in the header, and if a certain useragent access the site, then an email would be sent through php or a smtp server to you
