Site quality
Whenever we chat about Google's AdSense monetizing program, most of what we discuss is "educated speculation" since the Mountain View giant keeps most of the tasty details for itself, such as the revshare and the reasons why a particular click will pay more... or less.
The word on the e-street is that Google rates entire accounts (not just particular pages or sites).
As such, if you own two web sites and site A has an awesome reputation while site B has a poor one, the latest will drag the first one's revenue potential towards the bottom of the pond.
It's sounds profoundly unfair but apparently, that's how Google "evens out" things.
In other words, perhaps your web site is fine and -should- pay good money but if you've recently entered your AdSense code in a new "unproven" web site, it could be the reason why your "primary" site is having trouble providing you with the level of revenue you'd "normally" expect.
