Hey anyone noticed PR update...

Google updated the PR for many site.My all sites have got good PR.
Even My Tripod site has got PR3.

Anyone else got something???

Hi,

At the time of PR update i found that Google has decreased the PR of YouTube from 8 to 3. I also check that in different datacenters at that time i found that YouTube has a PR 3.

But now today i checked YouTube PR in different datacenters then i found that in some datacentes YouTube showing PR 8 and in some datacenters YouTube showing PR 3.

Why Google did that after the decresing PR of YouTube it increased again.

Anyone noticed that their website PR decreased and then increase.

Tell me your suggestions.

hi,

Recently my site Pr was updated from PR 0 to PR 4 ....If am not wrong this is because of only quality backlinks (directory submission, reciprocal link exchange,blogs posting...etc ) ......

My question is that is there any other reason other than that which is mentioned above...?

Please give me a proper reply...! T

I have noticed an increase on my main site from PR2 to PR3, now holding steady with PR2 on all inner pages.

I got Pr 3 In this Google PR update.

Causes:

1) Content

2) Back links (related)

etc.

Please post your PR in this update:

As I heard many biggys get hurt for buying links?

Are you gained it or loss it?

What's your thought on buying or selling links?

Will Google really punishing them for this?

Or what should he do to overcome this?

Hmm yea Google has been playing with their algorithm and a lot of sites have had their PR dropped.

An unhappy camper here... my one website has been around since 2001 and has always held a PR4 - seemed to be the top of the line for the type of site it is... now... sunk to a PR3 and the other night... for cripes sake it's got a PR2 label! I hate to rain on anyone's parade but I do keep on eye on my competition, and unfortunately many of them list ezines, etc., that are no longer even in business, yet their PRs are a point or two ahead of mine. It appears accuracy isn't a factor LOL!

The other site I'm running with a business partner was projected to get a PR5 - with linking created in all the RIGHT ways. Now it's sitting there with a "no data found" even with the several thousand - correctly created - backlinks.

The really odd thing is that a hypenated url that we were not doing anything with achieved a PR2.

It also appears that Yahoo is having a field day of their own with nary a mention anywhere for a website with the longevity my original has...

I even noticed as I logged in that the forum here has received a huge drop in PR. In my neck of the woods, it was holding a PR6, now it's reading PR3 (!)

Makes you want to climb back in bed and pull up the covers... Won't be giving up, but this is November 2004 all over again... and it sux!

This whole paid links debacle had to end as it was possible before to "buy" pagerank and in some cases positions on SERPS. The internet isnt about who has to most money - from now on SEO is going to more about hard work and less about hard cash. That has to be a change for the better IMHO!
